As we were in the prayer room today, the brother leading the meeting said something about us being a representative of the holy spirit to the people we encounter every day. He further stressed this prayer point; by specifying that it should not be because we walked up to people to invite them to church, but it should be as a result of our nature (the way we live our lives).
What I have discovered about life is that our reflex actions are based on what lies in our heart. Our reflex actions spring from no other source but the content of the heart. Even when you pretend, If you do not read and meditate on the word of God daily, you will not react to life’s different circumstances based on God’s word. If you do not depend on God for everything including your healing, you will not by reflex pray for a colleague who is ill.
It’s time to discover the content of our hearts and start asking the Holy Spirit for grace to help. Remember grace is only effective when you position yourself in obedience. If you want the content of your heart to be of God, then start taking out time to study God’s word, pray and meditate on it. Your heart will always be where your treasure is, and if your treasure is God and your goal is Heaven then the content of your heart will be in that direction.
May God strengthen your resolve as you decide to manage the contents of your heart by studying his word daily.
Prayer: Father please help me position myself for your grace to take effect in my life and help me to have your word in my heart so I can by nature represent your spirit here on earth so men will draw closer to you.
