THIS MONTH TAKE TIME OUT TO PRAISE GOD FOR ALL HE HAS DONE

 By Brother Godwin
Beloved,
Scripture: The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. THey kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law;  And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.  Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan (Psalms 78:9-12).

God has been so good to you and I from January this year till now. There are multitudes that do not enjoy the good that God has given us over these months. We have been healed, delivered from several plans of the enemy some of which we were not even aware of, protected and fed. Even if you feel God has not done anything for you, he is the reason why the condition has not become worse. Friend it is of his loving kindness that we are consumed because his compassion does not fail (Lamentation 3:22). Look at it this way, God is the reason why you can read and understand this brief. Hallelujah! When we focus on the challenges before us, we tend to forget that we have been kept by the power of God before the challenge showed up. Get this truth clear; to remember what God did in the past is a powerful tool of deliverance from current challenge.

The children of Ephraim were armed but decided to run away from the challenge. What were they armed with? They were armed with the testimony of the previous work of God in their lives; the marvelous things that God did in the sight of their fathers. David said, the LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine (1 Samuel 17:37). To show that he understood the place of testimony, he said to Goliath:  this day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands (1 Samuel 17:46-47). Friend, stop complaining of what God has not done and celebrate him for what he did. The blood of Jesus is already speaking favorably for you. Your testimony is needed as an establishing witness for you to overcome your current challenge because they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the words of their testimony (Hebrews 12:24, Revelation 12:11).
This beginning of the month is a good time to remember what God has done. Do you want to share a testimony on the current challenge facing you? Sing, celebrate God and dance to his praise. This is a command ordained for a testimony in this new moon (Psalms 81:1-5). Do you desire freedom? Learn to celebrate the goodness of God. Jehoshaphath did what the military commanders of our days will call foolishness. He set singers in front of the army but when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten (2 Chronicles 20:22). Friend when we praise God, he does fearful things (Exodus 15:11). When Paul and Silas began to sing and pray, an earthquake occurred and every man’s chain was loosed (Acts 16:19-26). Stop complaining. Stop murmuring. Stand in faith and remember the past victories God has given you. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Psalms 107:2). When we refuse to praise God, the blessings which we have refused to recognize will be cursed (Malachi 2: 2-3). Does this make any sense to you? It will not be your portion but you will need to be grateful to God for the things he already did.

Let me show you two reasons why praise works. Psalms 48:10 says According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. We know that at the name of Jesus Christ every knee bows in all realms of existence (Philippians 2:9-11). The scripture above says that praises to God produce to the degree that the name of Jesus Christ will produce. According to your name, so is your praise. So when we praise God, every knee bows. Hallelujah!  Secondly, praise is our responsibility for the covenant of live and peace to work for us. Remember we read that the children of Ephraim did not keep the covenant (Psalms 78:10). Because God does not want us to miss it, he gave it as a commandment.  And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.  My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name (Malachi 2:1, 4, 5).  God’s program is that we have peace and life. Peace means nothing missing, nothing broken; a state of perfect completeness. Hallelujah! This is your portion in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
This month, take time out to celebrate the goodness of God. As you do, God will show up and anything that constitutes a chain will be loosed from you.
You shall be favored.
