GET IMMERSED

By Brother Godwin

Beloved,

Scripture: And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me (Exodus 8:28).

God had a promised land ready for his people but Pharaoh would not want them to get there. By telling them not to go far away, he wanted to make sure that he could always have access to them. Our destiny is divine life and we can only access it by the knowledge of God. 2 Peter 1:4 says Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. You are I are programmed to live the very life that God lives. Our words and deeds are programmed by God to depict divinity but that can only come through the knowledge and application of the word of God; through sailing out in search for God and his way of thinking and doing things. This way you stay far away from the enemy.

But you know what? The enemy would do everything to convince us that we should pray when our busy schedule permits; that we should study the word when we have time to spare. Friend, do you breathe when you have some time to spare? Moses while speaking to the Israelites told them that the Word; the study with practice of the Word is their life (Deuteronomy 30:20).  In other words, if you do not apply it to your day to day walk, you are as good as dead. Man that is in honor, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish (Psalms 49:20). Did you read that? The enemy will do everything to keep people at the fringes of God’s kind of life so that they will not enjoy the fullness of the divine life already available to them. Listen to this, you and I are not supposed to live and die like mere men. If we know who we are and do what we are supposed to do, the things that happen to men would not happen to us. True! Our being is God (Acts 17:28, Psalms 82:5-7). Eternal life is accessible through the knowledge of God. Stop staying at the fringes: get immersed.

‘Don’t go far away in God’, the enemy will say.’ Go to church when it’s convenient’. ‘Instead of going for a prayer meeting, go and visit a friend’. ‘Spend as must time as possible to watch television instead of spending time in the word of God’. ‘Don’t keep yourself pure, God understands’. These are suggestions of the enemy to keep us away from God’s blessings. ‘Keep your tithe’, the enemy will say. ‘The Pastor just wants to use your money to buy a new car or a new shoe’. ‘Discuss your Pastor and your fellow Christians’. ‘When you get to church, judge every single thing that is done’. ‘You are comfortable; those people that are always in church are those that have needs’. ‘Even if the Bible says it, this is not what you have practiced since you were born’. All these are the enemy’s ploy to negotiate away your dominion.

God’s eye is going to and fro the earth to show himself strong in the life of those whose hearts are perfect towards him (2 Chronicle 16:9). Friend, you will find God when you seek him with all your heart. You might not have a need now but you need God to keep that which you have. Get immersed.

Hear what Jesus said And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him (John 8:29). God was always the focus of Jesus Christ. To get the kind of result that Jesus had, we have to focus on God the way he did. This is what Jesus advised: If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him (John 14:23). Using another set of words, ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

Get immersed in God. Think, talk and do his word. Get immersed in God and watch to see how your life will be completely transformed. Do not negotiate away your divine position.
Godwin
The enemy is a negotiator. He always has alternative plan that tries to convince the believer that you can serve God half-way. ‘You can be a Christian but you do not have to be filled with the Holy Spirit’ or ‘you can be a Christian without being a fanatic’. Let me paint this picture to you: can a fish live in a bucket of water or bath tub? There is water in the bath tub but the bath tub can never be a river and the river is the natural habitat for the fish. Unless the fish abides in the river, it will suffer and eventually die. You and I do not want God. We need God and no half way would do.

PUT TO REMEMBRANCE

By Brother Godwin

Beloved,

Theme scripture: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits (Psalms 103:2).

I welcome you to the month of August 2011. No matter what has not happened before now, my God will make it up for you. You may have believed, and it appears that you have not received it. You know what, once your request is covered in the WILL called the Bible, that is the only evidence that God has granted your petition (1 John 5:14-15). Look at this; I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass (Isaiah 48:3). Are you expecting this manifestation? Listen, your miracle is going to be sudden in the name of Jesus Christ. AmenThe theme scripture says we should not forget God’s benefits. A lot of times we tend to think that salvation is only of the soul so that we can go to heaven. Yes, going to heaven is a major aspect of salvation but there are other components also.

When Adam sinned, he was separated from God and because of it, sickness, lack, sufferings and every evil work followed him. The scripture says that the redemption that Christ brought was much more than the effect of Adam’s sin.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many (Romans 5:15). You know what?   He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). So the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ destroyed the works of the devil. See these: For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2Corinthians 8:9). Also who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (1 Peter 2:24). Friend, Jesus blotted the evil hand writings against us and triumphed over the enemy. Please note that Jesus Christ is not going to make us free. No! He had already made us free. We have been delivered from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13).

So what are we doing with what we have been delivered from? It is not smart at all. The Bible calls it frustrating the grace of God (Galatians 2:21; 2 Corinthians 6:1)We have seen God as the ones that forgives all our iniquities, we need to wake to the fact that he also heals all our diseases,  redeems our lives from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies and satisfies thy mouth with good things (Psalms 103:1-5). You need to believe him as such, and receive prosperity, deliverance and healing the same way you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior (Colossians  2:6). You know what, David had to remind himself. This is the same principle confirmed by Jesus and recounted in so many places in the new testament; the principle of putting to remembrance. Jesus said that one of the roles of the Holy Spirit is to bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). In fact he (Jesus) instituted the communion and said this do in remembrance of me (Luke 22:19). Paul, Peter and Jude constantly put the church in remembrance (Hebrew 2:1; 1Timothy 4:6; Jude 5). So we need to constantly remind ourselves that we have not just been forgiven, we have been healed, made prosperous and crowned (or given authority). Hallelujah! We need to understand why we need to remember. Interestingly, even God said we should put him in remembrance (Isaiah 43:26), so putting to remembrance has something to do with our taking delivery of our covenant rights. Paul asked Timothy to stop crying and instead stir up the gift of God in him (2 Timothy 1:6). Peter told us how that is done. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance (2 Peter 1:13). Putting the scriptures together, we stir God up by putting him in remembrance (this is what praises and confessions do) and we stir up his power in us when we are put in remembrance either by others or ourselves.  You put to remembrance by speaking. Thus we are enjoined to speak to ourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:18-19).

This is an important point: the same death of Jesus that took care of our sins also took care of our lack, brokenness and sicknesses. He did a complete job. He gave us a total package. Do not be satisfied with only part of it.Your miracle will appear suddenly in the name of Jesus ChristGodwin
