KEEP PRESSING UNTIL IT OPENS

By Brother Godwin

Beloved,
Main scripture: The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it (Luke 16:16)
I wish to bring a Word from God to someone today “keep pressing until you get your desire”; “keep pressing until what is provided in the covenant for you is in your hands”. You may have fallen once. Get up and keep moving forward. You may have been disappointed once. That can never be the reason to give up. You are the only person that has the authority to close your case. Once your eyes are fixed on the victory never mind any apparent disappointment. Jesus despised shame for the glory ahead. Listen to this; God always causes us to triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). If God never fails, then you cannot fail. For you to fail God would have to fail and God cannot fail.
Champions are never made in the living room. Champions are products of battles. That challenges come your ways does not mean you have sinned. It also does not mean yu have failed already. From the scriptures we understand that Jesus defeated the enemy (Revelation 1:18) but you and I need to stand our ground and take possession of what have been given to us (1 Timothy 6:12). It is called the good fight of faith. God told the Israelites Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle (Deuteronomy 2:24). Did you notice that? God gave them the land, but they still needed to take possession. To ensure that they understood what God said, he told them plainly  to contend in battle. Friend, it is not the time to give up. It is time to contend in battles using the weapons that are available to us (2 Corinthians 10:3). Use the blood of Jesus; use the Word of faith; add the name of Jesus; speak to the mountains and keep speaking. Fight the good fight of faith.
Let us see the mentality of over comers in 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. First understand that your challenge is not special. The Bible says that every challenge is common. So do not specialize yours. Stop going around telling stories of woes in order to get sympathy. People are limited in the extent that they can help you. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of (Isaiah 2:22)? Secondly know that God is faithful. He means what he says. If God up holds all things by the word of his power, your life and my life are too small to be beyond him (Hebrews 1:2-3). He is able and willing. The question that needs to be answered is this: shall God find faith in you (Luke 18:8). Thirdly, you need to understand that whenever any challenge shows up, it had already been established by heaven that it is not beyond you. I mean you have the ability to overcome it because God will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able to deal with. Let me tell you this: you can handle that challenge. Yes, you can! Finally, note that there is a way to overcome what you are facing today. What we need to do is to look for the way in the Word of God. No second hand information would do. So wake up and take your liberty. Do not give up. You know what? Every challenge has an expiration date because weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning (Proverbs 30:5). joy always comes. Hallelujah!
There was something that God opened my eyes to sometime ago. Many times Christians believe God for a breakthrough or an answer. But before the answer comes, they have already made up their mind on how to explain it if it fails or on an alternative. I have done that before, and there is a good chance that you have done it. You hear things like, it was not the will of God or God thought me something from the failure. If, it was not the will of God, why did you waste your time praying? There is only one place I know we are thought from; and that is the scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16). These are simply tactics motivated by the deceiver to keep us from focusing on the fight of faith and taking responsibility. The point is this, stop preparing for failure because it makes you double minded. The Bibles says that the double minded should not think that he/she should receive anything from God (James 1:6-8).
So keep pressing until you get it. If you could not find the key in Genesis, go to Mark or Matthew or James. Do not convince yourself that you have done enough. No; you have not.  You know what, when thou have found it (the key) there shall be a reward and thy expectations shall not be cut off (Proverbs 24:13-14). Find the key in the Word and apply it. When the answer is not at hand, it is not the devil or that God does not want you to have it. In fact everything in the covenant had been given to us (2 Peters 1:3-4). It simply means that you have not found the key. It is not time to be discouraged. Neither is it time to explain why it has not happened. It is time to keep looking and keep pressing.
You know what? Surely there is an end to your wait and your expectation shall not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).
